They just dispatched 5 water tenders to this fire from Herlong, Standish, Susan River, Milford, and missed the last one. Also I believe this fire is on California land but will probably eventually get to the Nevada side if not there already.

A T-cell just passed through the west side of Reno...headed North. Sprinkles of rain but FIERCE winds.
    Be safe out there!

So... Some cal fire inmate crews were assigned to this incident. 3 crew strike teams. Antelope, devil's garden & inter mountain. Rare for state entities to get bumped over the imaginary lines.

As of 2009 arrangements were made with Nevada, Oregon, and Arizona to supply mutual aid when requested to incidents within (I believe) a 50 mile buffer from the state line. The inmate crews only go to Nevada also. There is also a Mutual Aid plan in place to assist Tijuana in fires that threaten the border.

CA inmate crews can go 25 miles inside NV. If the road into the fire is more than 25 miles from the state line (perpendicular) they can't go. And that's with Region/Sacramento approval.
